Non-Mandated Store Volunteer (Nampa Location) — AM Shift

Our Nampa Thrift Store kindly asks that you only sign up for this opportunity if you are a general volunteer who DOES NOT need official documentation of your volunteer hours. If you do need your volunteer hours documented, please sign-up for the Mandated Community Service volunteer opportunity.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho at our Nampa Store! Tasks vary, but it's best to expect sorting through donations, tagging and organizing items, helping with floor displays, and assisting with any needed cleaning.

*You're welcome to sign up for a shift, even if you're not available for the full duration. We appreciate any time you’re able to give.*

Friday 10 AM–4 PM
Saturday 10 AM–4 PM
Sunday Closed
Monday Closed
Tuesday 10 AM–4 PM
Wednesday Closed
Thursday 10 AM–4 PM

Attire:

Volunteers are required to wear appropriate casual attire appropriate for a work environment. A t-shirt, jeans, and baseball caps are all acceptable. We ask that you refrain from wearing anything that could be considered offensive in a work environment. Close-toed shoes are required (sneakers are ideal). If you have hair long enough to pull back, we ask that you have it pulled back. Dressing in layers is ideal, as you may be working both inside and outside, depending on the task. Sometimes volunteers work in the back of the store processing donations where the doors are open, we ask that you keep this in mind when dressing to volunteer at one of our thrift stores.

When you arrive:

Please ask for one of the managers and let them know you are ready to volunteer. They will direct you to our check-in kiosk and give you a safety walk-through of the store.
