Join us for the 2025 Cookie For Corrections Program! In the spirit of Christmas, members of our reentry team deliver cookies to residents at the South Boise Correctional Complex. This small act of kindness is an opportunity to extend compassion, fellowship, and community to incarcerated individuals in Idaho. Cookie Distribution will begin Monday December 15th through Friday December 19th, sign up for a volunteer shift at one of the six Idaho Correctional Facilities! Please review the following important guidelines to ensure the experience goes smoothly and respectfully. All participants must follow these rules:
1. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in and security screening.
2. Identification
To be admitted into the facility, all participants must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport).
3. Dress Code
Visitors must follow IDOC’s conservative dress code. Please avoid:
- Revealing or tight-fitting clothing
- Shorts, skirts above the knee, or tank tops
- Clothing that resembles inmate or staff uniforms (khaki, camouflage, etc.)
- Open-toed shoes or sandals
- Hats, sunglasses, or large accessories
If in doubt, choose modest, professional attire with closed-toe shoes.
4. What NOT to Bring
To maintain security, the following items are strictly prohibited:
- Cell phones, smartwatches, and electronics
- Bags, purses, or backpacks
- Cameras or recording devices
- Tobacco products, matches, or lighters
- Weapons or sharp objects of any kind
5. Behavior During the Tour
As representatives of St. Vincent de Paul, we are expected to engage with humility, respect, and professionalism. Please follow all instructions from IDOC staff.
