Join St. Vincent de Paul SW Idaho in serving local veterans, first responders, and their families at the Treasure Valley Veterans Stand Down, a community event connecting those who have served with valuable resources, services, and support. As a volunteer, you will help with St. Vincent de Paul's grocery and food box distribution.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Organize and prepare grocery items and food boxes for distribution.
- Restock food tables throughout the event as needed. Welcome and assist veterans through the grocery distribution area.
- Help carry or load groceries into participants' vehicles when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient distribution area.
- Work alongside fellow volunteers and staff to ensure a smooth experience for all guests.
What to Expect:
- A fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Opportunities to interact directly with veterans and their families.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Light to moderate lifting of food boxes (assistance is available when needed).
- Your time and service will help provide groceries, compassion, and hope to local veterans while supporting an event that offers food and other essential community resources
